Chinese Mobile Phone Manufacturers, cell phone manufacturers in China : China is the world's largest and fastest-growing mobile phone market. According to recent reports1 , there are over 100 million mobile subscribers in China. According to the China Electronics News, a daily sponsored by the Ministry of Information Industry of China, foreign brands are losing their dominance in the mobile phone market in China in recent years.

In 2002, Chinese brands had successfully captured about 30% of the market and the YTD statistics for 2003 is approximately 50%. Chinese brands are becoming the mainstream products in mobile phone market and the "Ten Outstanding Brand Name" result should further strengthen the competitive edge of the Chinese brands.

Reforms are spread to attract more investment while favorable policies are made to support patent mobile communication products and technologies, and special program fund for this sector accumulates to several billion yuan. Through nearly 5 years' efforts, China has set up a mobile communication system. Motorola has the largest share of Chinese mobile phones markets. Mobile phone sales in China are expected to reach 95 million units this year, an increase 9% year-on-year. In 2003, as the world economy starts to recover, expected to grow by 2.6%.
